The calScreenerTM  allows you to monitor e.g. bacterial metabolism in real-time and is used for exploratory research and development of new antibiotics. In-vitro diagnostics focused on antimicrobial suspectibility testing aims to provide a rapid and and accurate diagnosis of infection caused by multi-resitant bacteria.

In this label free cell assay developed by Symcel the automated calibration unit makes it possible to do automated calibration of all 48 channels. Due to the design of the calibration unit, it is possible to calibrate only certain channels depending on need.

Stiernbrandt AB designed this system given the customers requirements and implemented the first prototype. The complete system has an adapter board for the sensors, an extension board and the controller board. This controller board also communicates with a user PC where the channel selection and other parameters are set before starting the calibration.
