Gas Monitoring and Dosage Unit for ventilation

Measures low levels of NO-gas delivered to patients with high and repeatable accuracy on a ventilator.

Functions include user selectable, upper and lower alarm levels, the measurement of both NO and Nox gases and also has an auto calibration function. All this is done without the use of software - since this is a medical equipment.

This unit was developed from customer requirements and since this was a medical system no processor/SW was to be used. This involved simulating the entire system and all its functions before building the first prototype. The system contained complex discreet logic, sensors and opamps, AD Converters and LED display.
